The Kolkata Knight Riders emerged victorious in a thrilling Indian Premier League (IPL) match against the Punjab Kings, chasing down a challenging target of 179 runs with just 0 balls to spare.

Andre Russell played a pivotal role in the KKR's triumph, contributing an explosive 42 runs from just 20 deliveries. Varun Chakravarthy also chipped in with a crucial knock of 38 runs.

Earlier, the Punjab Kings had set a formidable target of 179 runs, thanks to a blistering 70-run knock from Jonny Bairstow. However, the KKR bowlers managed to restrict the Punjab Kings in the death overs, setting the stage for a thrilling chase.

Jason Roy and Russell got the KKR off to a quick start, scoring 38 and 42 runs respectively. Rinku Singh then sealed the victory with a late onslaught, smashing 32 runs from just 16 balls.
